ESSENCE

Facing inward ... I find myself in a new place.
Canyons I had overlooked ...Trees never had I seen,
Flowers manifesting as if from thin air ... Light, golden like the sun.
And from behind the rocks of ages ... Stepping forward, the trace of an angel.

Known by the grace I feel, it greets me.
I hear whispers of assurance, words of truth and valor
Recognizing this journey I am on, it knows who I have always been even better than I now know myself.

And in a sacred breath, I expand in my awarenesss of my truest nature, my essence.

I feel warmth from the world.
Once more I have become aware that here,
In my heart, is the treasure.
The very same feeling that I held when I was a child.
The sense of trust that my heart beats
With an invisible earth-heart.
That the sprit which gives each rock it’s strength,
Also breathes into each moment a sense of wonder and aliveness.

It is close at hand.
I find in each day a gift and I present it to myself.
Day by day, I piece together a picture of who I am.
I bathe in this image, saturating myself until a primary vision is regained.
A portal opens at last.
And just before me is all that I have envisioned in my yearnings.
There suddenly, within reach,
Only needing for me to rediscover it
Is the thought of the rock,
The wish of the tree,
The power of the sun,
The feelings of the sea.

I open the door and proceed through a new corridor of my soul.
and receive a gift.
The gift of seeing the Greater Self working in every corner of life.

For waiting in the silence is that which speaks assuredly.
Hiding in the invisible is that which truely sees.
Deep in the unknown is that which knows the truth.
And knows how this tapestry was woven,
From whence came the thread
And whose shoulders’ upon which this garment rests.
Above mountains and beneath sea,

In dreams and in waking moments.
There, within our own essence,
is the unseen root of all things.
The spirit omnipresent,
That sings when the ear is thirsty for truth …
To call forth nature's glory.
